Time really flies like a speed rocket..

While struggling to adapt to working life, I've survived one month! But it seems to me that I've been working in this company for longer than that..

For the past one month, though I was busy most of the time, though I've never-endling full load of projects and things to do, I think it was an adventurous and interesting.

Learnt alot of new things, met alot of clients, tried alot of yummy food and more to come!

Let's have a quick update of my happenings in Sept.

Have you ever heard of HOT YOGA? It's just a yoga session but interestingly it's conducted in a sauna-like room with temperature up to 41deg. Some said fun, some said it was killing.. My boss bought a package under the company name and it's expiring soon.. but we still have 80++ hours left! So, he made it a company affair.. and we went last wed!

After 1/2 hr in the room, I started to feel dizzy.. I couldn't continue anymore.. I just sat down and enjoyed the heat. Btw, it was a 90minute session! I continued after resting for awhile. It's actually not that bad... just that the spot I chose was the hottest spot, that was why I felt dizzy easily! (they just told me by the end of the class!) *fainted* but overall it was fun. I feel so "healthy" and "good" after sweating!! haha

My boss always brings us to have good food - doesn't mean it must be expensive to be good. I've fallen in love with this simple yet superb wantan noodle! The chili is really POWER!

This one of a kind Ang Moh Wantan Noodle (that's the stall name) is located at Tembeling Rd, Joo Chiat. It's very yummy!! must try!!

Well, we'll be moving out of our current office at The Adelphi very soon. Thanks to the recent propery boom and F1. Due to rental hike up, we have to move to a more reasonably priced location.

For sure, I'm gonna miss the scenery...

Alright, enough of blogging.. time to get back to my reports...

My whole body is screaming for help.. especially my poor feet!

Bought a pair of new heels that day. It was my second choice actually, the one I wanted was out of sizes. Since it's on sale, it's kinda pity that I didn't buy any shoes rite? That's the POWER of SALE!

I like it actually.. but see what happened to my feet...

And I have to walk for the whole day!!! so PAINFUL!!

Everyone in my company walks REALLY FAST..I have to "jog occasionally" just to catch up with them.. or at least 2 steps behind them! Guess, I have to get another pair of shoe.. a real comfy one!

Went to KK Hospital for check up after work. Sigh.. as I grow older, my system gets haywired. I have been seeing doctors lately.. and tomorrow I have to go back to Raffles Hospital again for my finger appointment. Burnt a BIG HOLE in my pocket! There goes my first pay - to clear my debt - all my medical bills... sad.

My experience at KK Hospital wasn't a pleasure one. Firstly, I have to wait super long! And the some staff wasn't friendly AT ALL.. the reason why I went to KK Hospital was because I thought it'd be cheaper.. but the consultation fee was already 53.50 - just a short one - no ultrascan or whatsoever! (though the medicine is cheap).

And I have to make an appointment for my next consultation plus ultrasound! what the hell?! And the appointment schedule is one of the weird timing, 11am for ultrasound and 2 pm for another doctor's consultation!! What I hate most isthe attitude of the staff at cashier counter, though I understand there's nothing can be done for the scheduling, but at least show some empathy towards me can??!! Can she serve with a SMILE or not??

I just relunctantly agreed to the timing BUT I'm NOT GOING for the next consultation!

The worst part came! I have to walk to another building / tower to get my medicine! And she wasn't helpful in providing me with CLEAR and PROPER direction!! Damn pissed off!

Then I dediced to take a cab home since I'm already dead tired after a long day. Great, the taxi uncle was eating jackfruit while he was driving.. you know, the smell of jackfruit in the enclosed area was really overpowering! and my tummy was growling.. it was already 8pm and I still hadn't had my dinner yet! Throughout the journey, he kept "tsk tsk-ing".. you know, like sucking out whatever stuck between your teeth sound!! I was totally irritated..

But actually the uncle is a nice man, when I heard him speaking cantonese, I gave him direction in cantonese. He's a nice and friendly uncle..

Okie.. blame my growling tummy or my raging hormone that caused me to be so temperamental! FINE!!

Alright, enough of my whinning, time to prepare my meeting log. It'd be yet another LONG DAY for me........

Yummylicious.. but sinful..

Went to Katong for Punggol Nasi Lemak with parents. Sounds confusing huh? haha.. Quite nice actually.. though nasi lemak is one of the sinful-no-no stuff, but this one at Katong makes me feel less sinful..maybe due to smaller portion! haha

There's a Munchy Donut outlet just a few shops away. My parents especially my dad has sorta fallen in love with Krispy Kreme when they first tried it. So, we wanted to try Munchy Donut this time. Bought 6 for $6.50, which is rather cheap compared to KK.


But they have limited choices.. I have to choose all choco favours since I HATE strawberry... haha

Choco O' Latte, Honey Glazed, Choco Banana, Dunno wat choco, Oreo Choco & Rainbow

Verdict - smells good.. not sweet.. smaller bite (then can eat more la) but no kick! Don't have the "hmmm... yummy yummy yummy" feel. Krispy Kreme still the King of Donuts (for the time being)

After whinning for so long.. finally I've cut my hair! a real short one... but I'm in deep regrets now.. coz I think I look extremely awful in short hair!! arghh....!!! how?? someone pls save my hair!!!

I think rebonded hair suits me the best. Sigh... what to do.. shall wait till I have money to go for rebonding..but God knows when.

Damn.. I'm so lazy now..been procrastinating lately. So many things to submit to my boss tomorrow - weekly achievement report, task & activities plan, learning points slides, organisation chart... sigh... I need some motivation to drive the momentum in me!!

Though I'm not a pet lover, but listening to Ella's song specially dedicated to her dog - Qiang Qiang, really makes me feel like crying! Nice tune... touching lyrics... I think this song has stirred the emotion of everyone! sob sob..

This year, I'm pretty lucky.. coz I have my ever-hot fave Shanghai Mooncake from Oversea Restaurant!!! muahaha.... my uncle bought for us last week in KL.. too bad, we are not allowed to send mooncake to Australia for my sister.. she's craving for it too..

This year's packaging is pretty nice.. it looks like ancient textbook..

I have unlimited power!

I woke up as early as 6am today coz I have to attend this ever-popular and most-talked-about seminar. But before that, had breakfast with boss and clients at Jln Tua Kong Fishball Noodle located at Bedok Market. This fishball noodle is highly recommended by boss. Nice?? okie la.. abit ex and small portion though.

Alright.. back to the seminar! I think his name is already a selling point - Anthony Robbins. Many ppl flocked to Singapore Expo to attend his seminar. The General seat tickets already cost $250. I can't recall how much does it cost for a VIP seat. And today's crowd comprised of 5000 ppl. Wow.. see how much the speakers can earn!!

Nope, I didn't pay for the ticket. One of our clients is the sponsor for this event, so we have free tickets!

There were 3 speakers actually, Allan Pease, Anthony Robbins & Stephen Pierce. The 1st - Allan Pease - the body language expert was quite entertaining. He highlighted the different abilities between men and women. Women are better in communication ability and multi tasking - chat on the phone, watching tv, surfing net ..all at the same time! .. and women just talk non-stop!.. which is quite true! haha

I can understand why so many ppl admire Anthony Robbins! He's really entertaining.. he made us stand up, raised our arms, shouted our lungs out, shaked our butts, danced and jumped.. for 4 hrs straight!

But everyone truly enjoyed it.

This is the moment he made us danced and jumped - EMOTIONS come from MOTION! To change your state of mind, you gotta to change physiology (body) and focus (feeling)!!

So, how the 3rd speaker? sad to say.. it was disappointing.. but the good thing was that we'd leave early! My colleague said, since it's unrelated to us and not meaningful, why not we go home early and rest! COOL... (the actual ending time for this seminar is 8pm!)

Overall, it's an enlightening experience. Am I motivated at the end of the day??? Hmm..

But I hope what I've learnt today can help me when I encounter any circumstances in future...

Eat & shop .. till I fat & drop

Well, supposed to go cycling with the gals at East Coast Park at 10. Not being a sports enthu, I didn't ensure that I set my alarm clock.. so I din't wake up in time. In the end, I pangseh them la.. paiseh ar!

But, it was a good thing that I didn't join them... coz it's been LONG LONG time since the last time I cycled.. 10 yrs ago or more than that! Seeing the bicyles they rented, I think I'd fall more than I cycled!

Still I went to join them for lunch... 1 hr bus ride!! sit until buttocks spit fire (quoted by our Ms Chinlee). Chinlee bought us to this western food cafe at East Coast Rd.

Not bad.. the food is good and price is reasonable

Since we're at that area.. we walked down the shop lots and stopped at Katong Laksa for our 2nd round..
It doesn't look appetizing though.. and 4 of us shared a bowl!

After 2 rounds of food.. time to shop!! but... we bought nothing at Parkway Parade. Then we continue with our shopping project at Orchard on Sat... sad to say, I only manage to buy 1 skirt and 1 dress. Isetan was quite a disappointment.. am I choosy .. or are they lousy??

Final round of shopping with mummy today.Phew... finally I managed to buy something for me to last for my 1st week of work. Where did I get all those things?? - AMK HUB!!

I got what I want at a neighbourhood shopping center and found nothing appeal at town! funny..

Bought alot of things.. and now I'm in debt.. have to start my budgeting and financial control liao..

I went to Raffles Hospital for my appointment with a doctor whose name is one of my fave flower.. she's Dr. Tulip Tan. It was my 1st time there. When we mention "Raffles Hospital", immediately we think of classy, good, and .. of course EXPENSIVE!

When I reached at the reception, no I should say, before I reach the reception counter, I was greeted by super friendly receptionist.

Then I told my mum. "I'm like in the 5-star hotel hor.."
Mum replied." yeah, later the bill also look like 5-star..."

The whole procedure was damn painful la.. I didn't even dare to look at my little finger. I thought I could just cut off "that lump/ blood clot/ granule" (I can't even remember the term they used to describe the misfortune of my finger) but the doctor said this treament would leave a hole and cause excessive blood lost. So, I have to go for 2nd option - use nitrogen to cold it down and freeze it and that will be getting smaller. Sounds amazing.. but I really hope it works!!

I don't even know what caused to be like that, even the doctors were shocked too. You know, when doctors gave this kinda expression, you're like "oh no, gone case!"

They could only diagnozed that it might due to trauma or prick on something unknowingly that caused the arterty to bleed. And I aggitated it further by putting the corn plaster.

So.. my finger is TRAUMATISED! Consultation + 10 days antibiotic + medical procedure (a few spray of nitrogen) = $266.60!! and I have to go for 2nd appointment after 10 days... how?? I need to go work le... just about the start work.. I have to take leave liao meh?? aiyo.. wat will the boss think of me?

pray that the boss is understanding enough... please......
