My Lovely Hometown
Went back hometown last weekend to attend my ex-neighbour cum chilldhood fren cum sort-of-relative's wedding. Alright, to cut it short, my friend's wedding. She's 26 this year.
This is my 2nd time back in hometown. The previous time was during CNY. So, it has been 9 months since I last went back. Any major changes??
Not really... except for the drastic change in weather - extremely hot in the afternoon followed by heavy downpour in the evening. And for the safety aspect, it had not been good. Lots of car snatchings, kidnapping, gals missing and murders. Moreover, I was carless. So I couldnt really move freely here and there. That explained why I din't hang out at night during my stay in Ipoh.
I think I had been eating non stop for my 4 days back in Ipoh. Well.. at least I had satisfied all my cravings that I'd been longing for. :)
Anyway, dragged my mum to go for morning breakfast as soon as I reached Ipoh around 5.30am coz I had been craving for dim sum.
My fave dim sum ever - Ming Court. This picture was taken when I had finished eating at 7 plus.. and mind you, it was already full house when we left!
Some ppl don't like dim sum at Ming Court coz their servings are relatively smaller for the amount paid... but it tastes superb (at least to me).
Wondering who paid for this sumptuous breakfast?? of course.. my mummy paid for it.. hehe..
My 2nd craving was the famous "Ipoh Hor Fun" and "Nga Choi Kai".
You know what, though my hometown is in Ipoh, I seldom go for it. Been craving for damn long that I made sure I must eat it this time. Haha.. so I dragged my 2 lovely darlings to go with me.
Waited so long for my Ipoh hor fun and my long waited nga choi kai
*yummylicious*

And.. not to forget my 2 lovely darlings - Eve and Chloe who foot the bill. (She din't want me to pay for the dinner!)

My 3rd craving - of course not to be forgotten. In fact is my must-have everytime I go back ipoh.

My fave - Ipoh White Coffee (Bak Ka Fe). Maybe I should persuade the boss to open a franchise here in Sg! - the genuine Ipoh White Coffee!!
My 4th "craving" - my dear lil cousin brother.. hehe.. coz he was born on the day I went back to Sg after CNY celebration. Been hearing for my mum, dad and my brother saying that he's super duper cute!! He was overweight okie!
Let you all see how cute he is!!

This was his expression when he saw me for the first time! (just kidding). He had been passing around like a ball for everyone to "bao bao".
His mouth would open automatically when he sees food! That explained why he was overweight!
His eyebrows look like ShinChan's. haha
Some thought he's Korean baby due to his small small eyes.
The 'lil "Robert Zai" - tat's his nickname! hehe..
He's younger than me 2 rounds of the Chinese calendar, which means 24 yrs!!
Though my stay in Ipoh was a short one and it was slightly lonely.. but I do think it was a fruitful one! I ate what I wanted to eat.. I met who I wanted to meet and I din't see what I don't wish to see.
And... I still miss my beloved hometown! See you when I'm back in Feb!!
